The answer is yes!  Massachusetts divorce law is gender neutral and thus, does not favor women over men or men over women.  The Commonwealth’s Equal Rights Amendment mandates that the Family Court treat people equally without bias based on gender. This means that in the correct circumstances, men can receive alimony. Generally, alimony is paid from the spouse that produces income for the family to the spouse that that contributed financially on a smaller scale.
